1975 Tip Top Bread : Sunblest Space Shot #1 - Sputnik I

The Sunblest Space Shot card series was distributed in 1975 by Tip Top Bakeries in Australia. One card was included with each loaf of Sunblest Bread from Tip Top. The British Trade Card Index reference is T14-5B. Each card measures approximately 5.5 x 8.25 mm.

The 20-card illustrated series depicts the history of space exploration from Sputnik 1 to the Pioneer 11 probe. "Woman in Space" features a female astronaut performing an Extravehicular Activity (EVA). The first woman to perform an EVA was Svetlana Savitskaya on July 25, 1984.

1975 Tip Top Bread : Sunblest Space Shot #4 - Mercury VI

Sunblest Space Shot includes portraits of Yuri Gagarin and John Glenn. The Apollo XI illustration is based on a photograph of Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin taken by Neal Armstrong. The reflection of Armstrong appears in the helmet visor.
