1969 Brooke Bond Canada : The Space Age (L'Âge Spatial)

The Space Age (L'Âge Spatial) card series was released in 1969 by Brooke Bond Canada Limited. The cards were distributed with Red Rose and Blue Ribbon tea and coffee from Brooke Bond Canada. The complete 48-card set was available by mail order for 50 cents, or one cent for each individual card. A fold-out poster was available from retailers.

The collection features missions from the Soviet Vostok program, Project Mercury, Project Gemini, and concept artwork for Project Apollo. The series was painted by Helmut K. Wimmer, artist for the Hayden Planetarium. The text was curated by Thomas D. Nicholson, director of the American Museum of Natural History, and Dr. Henry C. King, curator of the McLaughlin Planetarium.

Brooke Bond Album No. 12, The Space Age (L'Âge Spatial), was sold separately for 25 cents. The card text and album descriptions are printed in English and French. The images are copyrighted 1969 by National Wildlife Federation. The cards were lithographed in Canada by Walker Press Limited.
