2017 Topps Heritage Baseball Trading Cards
2017 Topps Heritage Baseball Trading Cards were released by The Topps
Company, Inc. on March 1, 2017. The collection recreates the vintage design
of the 1968 Topps Baseball series. Each hobby box contains 24 packs with 9 cards per pack. Each blaster box
contains 8 packs with 9 cards per pack. Hanger boxes contain 35 cards.
Insert odds vary for each release.
The odds of finding a "News Flashbacks 1968" insert are approximately 1:20
hobby packs, 1:20 retail packs, and 1:7 retail hanger boxes.
The 15-card insert set features the crew of Apollo 8: Commander Frank
Borman, Lunar Module pilot William A. Anders, and Command Module pilot James
A. Lovell Jr. The photograph was taken outside of the Apollo Mission
Simulator at Kennedy Space Center on November 13, 1968. Apollo 8 entered lunar orbit on December 24, 1968.

Apollo 8 became the first manned spacecraft to orbit the moon and return
to Earth. Crew members Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders were
the pioneering individuals to see the far side of the moon."
